How to not ruin your new favorite shirt

• Cold water only — hot water is for overachievers.
• Turn it inside out first, to protect the graphic you're going to wear until it falls apart.
• Use a gentle detergent; this soft cotton is chill, so keep it that way.
• The first wash might bleed a little, so keep it away from your nicer things.

Drying

• Air-dry if you can — it's gentler, keeps the soft texture, and it's more time to do absolutely nothing.
• Tumble dry low if you must, on a delicate setting.
• Pull it out as soon as it's dry so it doesn't wrinkle.

A few more quiet rules

• Skip the bleach and harsh detergents — they fade the color.
• No fabric softener; it messes with the texture.
• Don't iron directly on the print — flip it inside out or use a pressing cloth.
